USA Today and Travel habits

USA Today did some research about their readers travel habits. Here are the results. Nothing too interesting but funny to read.

I see myself as a 1, 2, 5 and 10

Re: USA Today and Travel habits

I'm definitely 1 & 2!! Occasionally 5 as well.

I'm from Georgia, so anything outside of Coke is blasphemy, and admittedly I travel with at least 4 devices. Yikes. I guess you could say that I'm über plugged in.

Re: USA Today and Travel habits

I definitely favor (Diet) Coke over (Diet) Pepsi, but would not base a hotel decision on it.

I  take a smart phone and a laptop.  So, 2 devices.

I don't understand the towel thing on #3.  Why is it considered more considerate to leave the towels on the floor, as to opposed something like the bathroom countertop when checking out?   They're all going into the laundry bin, and it seems it would actually require less bending over by the housekeeper to pick them up off the bathroom counter rather than the bathroom floor.

For #4,  I'll take the left-over shampoo with me, except if it's from HI Express.  That stuff is awful.

On #5, regarding the late night TV, I certainly do that on occasion.

For #8, I would agree that cleanliness is the most important factor.

#10 sounds interesting.  I never knew there was site dedicated to room views.   Are there many hotels  that let you choose your particular room, as the airlines let you select a seat?
