I just stay in the Holiday Inn Amsterdam De Boelelaan2; 1083 HJ Amsterdam.
On my check in I present my Ambassador Platinum Card and I received a Room in the Priority Level (its a Standard Room with a Coffee Maker). Only speaking with the Manager on Duty I finally got upgraded to an Executive Room in the Executive Floor. (That was funny as there is shown at the reception an anouncment plate " Upgrade of the Day -Executive Room" )
In the evening I went to the restaurant, whereas first they tried hardly to place me in the Bar Area.Finaly in the restaurant I was eating there with my Daughter, 6 Years and obversly a children, When I received my Bill there was also shown her Children Plate on the Bill. Again I had to remind the waiter that Kids are eating free in this Hotel. Interesting that he did not know. Or what I think, he thought that I did not know!
Next Day I went to the Bar and wanted to use the Complimentary Voucher I received on my Chek in, its mentioned on it, you can order a Local Destillerie, a draught beer, soft Drink or House wine. I ordered a large Draft beer and one glas of House Wine for my wife. When I handed over the Vouchers I got told I have to pay the large beer as for the Voucher I will get only a small one :-); Of corse I paid the Beer and brought back the Voucher to the reception with a statment I dont need it if i cant get even a large beer for it!
In the Execustive room I only find out on my last day that the complimentary Water is placed in the Mini Bar, where a small lable shows its the complimentary water! If you never open the Mini Bar you will never find out. :-)
More Fun: In the Lobby there is placed a nice Coffee Machine - with a sign . Dear Customer this Coffee Machine is turned off, if you would like to receive a fresh coffee please visit our Bar in the first floor!
Summary: In this Hotel I never felt treated as a Priority Club Member, more likly that they want to rip you off where ever thy can! I suggest as Platinum Member you should choose any other IHG Hotel in Amsterdam then this one!
Ps.: The General Manager never Show up during my whole stay!
