I am so glad to hear that i am not the only one who thinks PRC is going in the wrong direction to keep people happy. Club Carlson will not status match, and i have been pretty happy since joining with them.
ery disappointed (as many other members are) about the increase in required points for properties... I am a platinum member but as you can see, I have not stayed at an IHC brand in a while, now staying at Hilton (Homewood Suites) and Marriott (Residence Inn) properties because I do not feel values as a Priority Club member.
Keep your comments coming please people and maybe our voices will be heard. I have still not stayed with ICH brands since November and will continue on staying with other brands until they rethink the decision to raise points.
It is not only the Point Rates that cause annoyance. I stayed at the Kyiv IC a few weeks ago and my Platinum membership got me absolutley zero. No upgraded room, in fact the opposite. Whereas in the past at this property I have had a room facing the main square and Cathedral outside the hotel, this time I got a room facing a wall. The locals just shrugged their shoulders!
We just got back from a trip to Florida and had 8 stays at different Holiday Inn properties and were upgraded everytime.
Some were small upgrades and some were huge. One gave us a suite that was huge and another gave us a king juccuzzi room. The smallest upgrade was a bag with goodies. Some don't have any real upgrades as the rooms are the same such as Candlewood Suites. I think sometimes you have to be happy that you are being given something. One gave us a choice of the goodie bag or 500 points. We took the points.
Not often I can make positive comments about PC, but as a Platinum, I'm finding that upgrades appear to be regular now. Stayed at HIX Poole and got a 500 point voucher and their only refurbed room. CP Birmingham upgraded me to Club again.
