Do you turn off the lights when you leave your hotel room?

When you leave your room, make sure that all of the lights and electronics are off.  No one will be there to enjoy them anyway. Do you turn off the lights when you leave your hotel room?

Yep, I always do! It's a good habit to have, no matter whose light bill it is. Maybe it'll help keep rates down!

Didn't we discuss this before??  Do like most of the European hotels do and the room key insert in a slot to energize the room. Once you leave the room you take your room key out and your room goes dark. I would bet, this investment for the hotel pays off within a year. Start thinking IHG

In HIX and a lot of His you need the key card to have the lights on so obviously yes. In all others we try as often there is a stubborn one that needs  rather a lot of time to find the of switch. It would be much better to have, as in a lot of hotels, a master switch at the door.

I do as well, also turn the TV off and not left on standby, as it consumes huge amounts of electric and a well know cause of fires

I always turn off the lights and the TV, too.

I wonder why housekeeping in some hotels feel they have to leave the TV on , or the radio.

I usually turn them off. As for the having to inse

rt the room card, a couple of hotels I have been in lately have cards already inserted when I have entered the room. The HI I am sitting in while I write this, even has a card attached to a chain next to the unit you insert the card in. Kind of defeats the purpose, but I guess there must have been some issue that was caused by having to insert cards.

Yes I do. Something I do when at home.
