I travel quiet often. It keeps me on the top of my profession, not to mention it allows me to meet and network with people from all walks of life. 99.99% of the time I stay within the IHG family of hotels unless there are extreme extenuating circumstances. Over the past 5 years I can count the number of times I've stayed at a non IHG hotel on one hand. To anyone that stays at the Intercontinental Hotels, I would definitely recommend joining the Ambassador program. Most of my travel is spontaneous. I keep a suitcase packed and ready for spur of the moment trips. Finding great last minute discounts is the perfect excuse to travel and earn points. Not only is it fun, but it keeps me abreast of what's goi ng on in the industry I work for, which is coincidentally the Hospitality & Tourism industry. Traveling to me is an occupational hazard.
