I don't usually book advance purchase rates; however, an upcoming stay I am looking at is $20 less with this rate. When I view the conditions for the rate, it does not say anything about earning points. Am I correct in assuming that I will still receive points and any promos I'm signed up for when booking the Advance Purchase Rate?
Thanks for any info!
This is one of those questions that never seems to be fully answered. It is a bit like the Senior discount rate. I would consider if you will want breakfast and how many will be in the room as well. So book if possible advanced with breakfast. I would also Email he hotel and ask if it id a qualifying rate.then you will have a confirmation to refer to if there is a dispute.
iristina,
I have received points on advance purchase rates. And, since the rate is only $20 less at this point in time, go ahead and book with confidence. My post in this thread might be of assistance.

Common assumption on FT is that as long as you book on the PC website and the rate is not deeply discounted you should receive the points. Sometimes you don't get the points right away, but filing a missing points report solves the issue.
YES!! you will still receive the points for the reservation that you have even if it's booked with the advance purchase rate..
I have always recieved points on advanced purchase rates no matter what the price of the room.

Definitely you will still be earning points for the stay
and including promotions that you signed up to
even if it's under an advance purchase rate!
it's just that you're taking advantage of the hotel's
special savings rate which is only available in a
limited time!![]()
Thanks to all for sharing! I thought that's how it would work (I am booking through the IHG site), and figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
