What hotel brands are participating in the promotion?

Can you only win points 1 time with the decoder game? I stayed in Sioux Falls at HIX 14-18 and received a decoder card and won 100 points. Today the 19th I am at HI in Long Beach, received another card and entered it. I got a reply that says Sorry, you've already won. Please stay with us again. Has anybody heard of this?

Yes, there is a limit of one bonus award per person but I advise you to try to enter your code when you receive additional game pieces.

Am I the only one having trouble seeing the "secret code"?

I have tried all of the tips giving on the contest site and still can not see all of the symbols.

My lap top screen is extra high res (half the cost of the computer) so maybe it's my road weary eyes.

This is how I believe it works:

If you enter a winning number, you will receive the  points provided you have not already won with that number. So, you can receive the points more than one time, if they are won on different winning numbers. Otherwise, what's to prevent someone from entering the same winning numbers over and over again?

Strange... the only time I received that message is when I entered a number I had already won with. (I've received the same numbers more than once).

I think a lot of decoders will have numbers that are 100 point winnners. If you receive a 100 point winner card but you have already won 100 points; you will not be able to win 100 points again. It's pretty likely you will receive the same number more than once.

So when you enter a new number and you have already won 100 points, if it says 'you have already won,' it means that your new number/decoder is just another 100 point winner. My guess is that there are tons of 100 point codes sequences out there-so you never know when you may get a game piece that has a different code sequence AND is not a 100 point code sequence. Obviously if you have gotten the same code sequence number twice from different stays, there is no point in entering it again. Have fun with it!

I am sorry some of you are having problems with the sweepstakes. As I have previously posted above, I will give it my best shot to answer your questions and explain the sweepstakes better. In my opinion, The Priority Club Rewards Webdecoder Instant Win Game is working as it should.

1. Everytime one receives a game piece, regardless of the "code" on the piece AND regardless of how many you obtain; follow the directions on the card, and decipher your piece on the online.

2. Rick, you quoted " The rules read as though customers should be able to enter once for each hotel stay and one additional entry if you write for a de-coder".

Any member can "enter" more than once with as many decoders the person receives through hotel stays or by postal mail.  However, NO member can win the "Bonus Award" (100 points) more than one time.

If a person chooses to write for additional game pieces to the address I listed in this thread, one can obtain as many decoders he or she would like. To do this, the person can only send ONE request per self addressed stamped envelope. If a person would like, let's say, 40 decoders; he would have to send each request in its own envelope and pay appropriate postage for the 40 evenlopes. Official rules state, "Limit one request per outer mailing envelope."

3.   Scenarios and FAQ: 

     "Bonus Award" = 100 points

      "Grand Prize" = 25,000 points

• One has collected a winning "Bonus Award" decoder (100 points) & the points are deposited in his account. If and when the person receives 5, 10, 20 or even more decoders, the additional decoders will probably turn out to be all "Bonus Award" decoders worth 100 points. But you will not receive an additional 100 points. The reason why is because that person has already won a "Bonus Award" worth 100 points. Therefore, any game pieces received after your first win should still be entered. Why? Because although a person cannot win another game piece worth 100 points, that person IS still available to earn the "Grand Prize" of 25,000 points.

There are 9.5 million "Bonus Awards" cards worth 100 points. There are 950 "Grand Prize" cards worth 25,000 points. We are all likely to receive a "Bonus Award" decoder at some point. BUT, just because a person has already won 100 points, this does NOT prevent that person from winning the "Grand Prize" (25,000 points). It only prevents the person from winning the "Bonus Award" of 100 points more than one time.

• Can you win the "Bonus Award" of 100 points more than once? NO.

• Can you win the "Bonus Award" of 100 points AND win the "Grand Prize" of 25,000 points? YES.

• Can you win the "Grand Prize" of 25,000 points more than once? NO, just like you cannot win the 100 points more than once, you can't win 25,000 points more than once.

• Is it possible you may have 10+ game pieces but everytime you decipher the code, you get a mesage stating you have already won? YES. The reason why you would receive the message for all of your additional game pieces is because you have already won 100 points and your additional gamepieces are more "Bonus Award" game pieces worth 100 points. Unfortunately, regardless of how many decoders you rack up while staying so many nights in IHG hotels, you will not receive more "Bonus Awards" worth 100 points if you have already won 100 points.

• Is it possible on an upcoming stay to get your very first decoder and it happens to be a "Grand Prize" winning card? YES. If that happens, you will receive your "Grand Prize" earnings and ALSO receive an additional  "Bonus Award" of 100 points.

• Can your winning secret code be used more than once on your account? NO.

4. According to the Official Rules, only game pieces obtained by checking in at participating hotels or game pieces obtained by writing for a gamepiece under the "No purchase necessary" rule are deemed legitimate. Therefore, posting your winning codes on the board is not a legitimate way for other members to win.

Winning:

A person can win one "Bonus Award" AND one "Grand Prize Award" (25,100 total points).

A person can win the "Bonus Award" only once (100 total points). 

A person can win the "Grand Prize" only once.

Just caught this thread and ironically got my first card yesterday.......100 points, better than a poke in the eye with a sharpe stick

I agree. I think since they give out the decoders with EACH stay, you should be able to win with each stay. Why not? We pay for each stay and keep patronizing the Holiday Inns. It would definitely encourage more stays.

It is strange how some rewards happen quickly and some so late you have to remind yourself what you did to deserve it.

So, the members who obtained 5 cards throughout the promotion, got 100 points per stay along with those who stayed only one or two nights. I guess it all worked out in the end. Glad to see the 500 bonus points instead of 100...

I had two cards; didn't win anything.

If you are having trouble, decoding,  the room has to be dark.  See if that helps. 

Jack, can you let us know what the error message says. We could guess but then we would give you a wrong answer. And of course, welcome to PCC

Can you try to enter the code on a different PC? Cod be that there is something wrong with the PC you're using and not allowing a popup to show up. I don't want to say it's only a 100 points because you could hold the grand prize in your hands
