On this site, someone always has a comment about IC CP, HI, and HIX, but rarely do members discuss Indigo Hotels. I have never been as they don't seem to be where I am going.
I am curious. Have you stayed at an Indigo? Where? When? Were you pleased with your stay? Why?
Tell all.
I love them! I remember my first visit to the Atlanta Indigo, 5 years ago. It was the first Hotel Indigo built. The Atlanta Indigo in Midtown is great for people who are going to the Fox Theatre for a show. The brand is unique, in the fact that it is pet friendly, and has free internet access in all of the rooms. Indigo Atlanta offers covered parking, and the hotel is bright with an open feel to it. And, since my favorite color is blue, I enjoy the signature brand color. Indigo Atlanta also maintains a seperate site: midtownatlantahotel.com
You mentioned in another thread that having a fish in your room would be a great addition to your stay; Indigo hotels would be perfect for that! The Indigo brand participates in IHG's green movement. The Earth Share organization is the official charity partner of the brand.
Take a Staycation and book a night in the brand new Chelsea Indigo. Visit there seperate website at indigochelsea.com
We just stayed there (Atlanta). It was a cool place, sort of like a bed & breakfast and from the inside was like being in Key West.
Coming from a raining and cold Pennsylvania, it was nice to sit outside in a shirt.
The staff was great very personal, also we had a good friend play a practical joke on us
& the staff had fun with it. Lots of laughs,
it was the right group to do a joke like this, it would not have worked at a "normal" hotel.
The restaurant is really nice, like Indigo, not your usual fare and the food was good.
At night it turns into a low key bar, also nice people there.
Interesting seeing all the dog people, er people with dogs
on the weekend .
We were there from Saturday till Tuesday. We did not rent a car while we were there & took MARTA all over. It is a great transit system.
Too bad I did not see this thread before we went ![]()
I stayed at the Indigo in Paddington, London - the first in the UK. I found it to be excellent. Its not that more has been spent on the rooms, but they are designed well and very comfortable. Above all, the customer service weas superb. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, partiularly for a London Leisure break, using priority points as the £ price can get a bit steep.
I'm glad you started this thread, Contessa. I am also interested in Hotel Indigo - it is the only type of IHG property I have not stayed in. The ones I have viewed appeal to me; however, I have not yet been traveling to an area where I could stay in one.
Some of the team who work with this site in Atlanta when staying in London find the Paddington Indigo a great place. Location wise it has many advantages.
I have recently had my first Indigo stay at the Galleria in Houston, TX. I absolutely loved it. It is my new favorite hotel away from the one I work for.
In case my boss is reading.
The Indigo's color schemes and the entire concept of the properties are amazing, especially the hardwood floors. I highly recommend Indigo to everyone. It earned me points with the Mrs. as well.
Thank you. One of these days I will get to a place where there is an
Indigo and that is where I will book.
Austin is on my travel list for 2010. I hear it's a great city. I'll ask you for tourist advice and also where to get the best tacos.
Hopefully, heading to Asheville, NC soon.. I will try to stay at the new Indigo there. I'll let you know how it is, but for right now, I am impressed with their communication! They present a very upbeat, helpful attitude.
