Thanks for the info.
Are these points awarded instead of regular points or are they in addition to regular points?
Time will tell.
One more question pease.
How does PC know which airline program to credit the points to? It was late at night when I signed up and I do not recall designating an airline.![]()
Tom, No airline miles, you will get PC points that you can use to purchase airline tickets. Or use them for whatever you like. Must be cloudy up there in the skies
I keep forgetting to use the O2 above 12k'...
Has anybody who had signed up for this promotion already stayed five nights and got the bonus points?
JBa...
I think I did. I looked at my account page last night and was wondering why my one night in Fayetteville NC had 16912 points for the stay. Heck...I don't even remember signing up for the promotion.
Jim
Good to hear. Had a two night stay in Atlanta last weekend and currently staying at a HIX in MA for nine nights. This gives some nice bonus points
I know I do like to log in and see the big points show up. For a minute thougt I was back on the triple point scale.
Jim
I am in Tucson for five nights this week. Will let you know.
Amanda, sorry to take so long to answer.
AZ is a beautiful state. Tucson is a nice town.
I stayed at the HIX close to the airport because it has a shuttle that will transport you anywhere within a two mile radius of the hotel.
My business associiate left one day before I did with his car so I was stuck at the hotel my last night having to fly out the next a.m.
With a shuttle that is not a problem, right?
The HIX close to the Tucson airport is an up-to-date property that is well maintained and has an efficient and friendly staff BUT the location is squarely in the middle of "the hood". There is not a restaurant or pub you would want to visit within two miles of the HIX!
I have visited Tucson before but have driven in from Phoenix. Next time I fly in I will rent a car and stay at a property downtown.
Tom,
Thank you. Only really been in the Phoenix area. Now I know not to stay there. I'm keen to the airport hotels since they are close to the airport, and like that most do provide shuttles like you said. 2 mile radius? Geez, they are usually at least 5 miles. You can't go anywhere in 2 miles.
Did your business associate rent the car and then you shared it? A lot of companies are doing that now. With corporate travel even being monitored, this past year, Mike's employees had to combine flights, share rental cars (which presents problems like yours above), fly into other cheaper airports, and then make the drive to a facility.
Amanda
I had a a one-night stay this past weekend and the points posted this morning. I received 15k points and it was listed as "Days Nights for Flights."
Those points pushed me over for Platinum. I just started staying in IHG properties again in October, so I will not complain about earning Platinum in 2 months. The promos are great.
This morning when I told my wife about it she said it was great that her husband was into this type stuff as it has great benefits for her....hmm....lol.
not2loud,
That was fast! (achieving Platinum). Enjoy the benefits...
BTW, do you live in Atlanta? Thought maybe you did, because I noticed you go to the 5 seasons Brewery (from the Best Eats Thread)
Amanda Kehoe
I do live in Atlanta. Good place to be based out of. The promos sure helped? I earned close to 100k in 4 months.
not2loud,
100K, pretty good in 4 months..I just noticed on your profile, you live in Marietta? I enjoy going to the square, and we have friends in Kennesaw, so we are always driving around town. We should meet up sometime...
Amanda
Sounds good to me Amanda.
Feel free to shoot me an email..
Not clear where I sign up for this promo...and what is the code#?
thanks

I was asking myself the same thing. I just stayed at the Hamilton Crown Plaza in DC and a buddy of mine said that he got 4314 points for the stay. I checked my account and had more than 24,000 points for mine. He was none too pleased that I had been the recipient of what we both thought was a computer error, but fortunately, thanks to this program, it's Platinum for me for another year!
ctinniraq,
Another good points amount. It got you Platinum for another year! How many nights did you stay to get 24,000? Another member, ufpeterson just got 25,000 points for one night!
