Missing Points for "Qualifying" stays

I recently spent a week in San Luis Opbispo, Ca on business stayed at the HIE and then went to San Diego, Ca and spent a week at the Crowne Plaza. Both stays posted on my account as Qualifying Stays but no points were given? Anybody else have this happen to them?

Not recently... have you called the Priority Club number to report and/or ask about it?  They should be able to either fix it or tell you why.

Did you sign up for the free nights promo and choose free nights instead of double points? If so...that's why. You don't get points during the promo if you chose free nights.

I had a similar problem until I realised that I only got points on my third stay, although my first 2 stays qualified I needed a third to gain the points!!

Re: Missing Points for "Qualifying" stays

this is a very sore subject with me. i typically stay 30+ nights when i travel and i do so often. just because i get

a better rate for an extended stay doesnt mean i dont deserve the points. where is the loyalty in that.

every stay should be a qualifying stay in my book. we have lots of choices on where we stay and they need to know that.

Not giving points doesn't make sense to me either. At the very least, you would think you could earn points at the lower rate like at the extended stay properties.
