Greetings from Maine. I manage three customer support teams located in Maine and Wisconsin so I travel mostly to the Midwest, specifically Milwaukee, WI where our corporate office is located.
I have been staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Brown Deere. Reena Khan has been doing a fantatic job making my stays enjoyable. Hotel is clean, neat, and centrally located. Internet is usually reliable and free. Culvers Burger Joint next door in case I don't feel like going on an adventure to find a meal.
Hello!
Glad to see that the staff is taking care of you as you travel for business! That is the best part about staying within the same brand-making connections with the hotel. Nice to see you have a burger joint nearby. Burgers & cinnamon rolls what a combo
How's the weather in Maine currently?
Respectfully,
Thanks Amanda for the welcome.
While I like to explore and sample the local cuisine, the burger joint next door has saved me when I am just too tired to explore. There is a very nice local Y facility across the street within walking distance to get a good workout in, and there is a walking path out back that goes on for miles through several towns. Not too Shabby!
Weather is hotter than I like right now, 90's with humidity. Since I live on the coast near the Atlantic Ocean that has helped a bit, nothing like a salt water breeze!
So are you somehow connected to the priority club brand in some way, not sure what ambassador means?
Again, thanks for the welcome,
Craig
Craig,
Yeah I'm familiar with the humidity-gross!! My hair doesn't do that well in the humidity here in Atlanta. Glad to hear about the scenery around the hotel...I consider myself a foodie & like to get out to try all kinds of places and cuisines. The Y is a great place with great people. Do the HI hotels you have stayed in have any kind of fitness room?

Thanks,
Yes, I do not do well in humidity myself, have to curb my exercise a bit, love to mountainbike and hike, lots of good "wicked" large mountains around here.
I am a bit of a foodie myself so I try to explore different places to eat when I travel.
I will check out the ambassador program and will definately post some ideas for folks in regards to good eats in Maine and Wisconsin.
Need to get a pic up soon too.
Later,
Craig
I enjoy the Georgia Mountains here and hiking along the Applachian Trail. When the weather calms down in November, it's time to break out the hiking gear and hop in the car. My family is from Asheville, North Carolina and the Carolinas offer some great outdoor spots..
Taking a trip to the mountains and stopping for BBQ along the way is heaven ![]()
See ya,
Amanda Kehoe
Forgot to answer a question you had earlier, the hotels I stay in don't have a descent fitness center so I workout in my room or in a local club if I have time.
That's cool. I had a friend who hiked the AT from Georgia to Maine a year ago. He had a blast. I bet the hiking in your area is very good. We have great seafood here, but not so good barbeque.
Craig
Craig,
I've been looking out & waiting for your posts in the Good Eats Thread...
How do you like the community so far?
Thanks Craig,
Amanda
In UK it is an 0870 number that may have a surcharge on the price of the call.
Sorry I have not replied earlier, I have been on vacation. I have not had the pleasure of contacting Holiday Inn Customer Service group. I have had great experiences in most all Holiday Inn's I have stayed in. I spend an extensive amount of time at the Holiday Inn Express in Brown Deere, WI and am well taken care of by the staff there.
