Where would you spend a free night?

Hi all,

We’re giving away 1 free night everyday for the next 30 days. If you win a free night, where will you go? Is there a place you have wanted to visit or even a particular hotel where you want to stay? Leave a response here and you’ll be entered to win a free night – and for a Grand Prize of 7 free nights.

For more details on the sweepstakes, check out the Priority Club Connect Blog:

http://community.priorityclub.com/blogs/pccblog/2009/07/15/30-free-days-in-30-ni ghts

Thanks, and Good Luck!

Update: All - we've given away all 30 nights and will soon be announcing the Grand Prize winner.... Stay Tuned!

If I could use it in conjuction with a points vacation I'm saving for, I would choose Aruba. My nearby choice would be the InterContinental Chicago, IL.

Any Indigo - anywhere.  My 1st choice, New york City new hotel Indigo, or any Holiday Inn in New York city.

2nd choice, Indigo San Antonio, or any HI in San Antonio.  Also on the list, Indigo Atlanta, my dog would be in vacation heaven there.

Chicago is in my top 5 as is Washington DC and Philadelphia PA Holiday IN in the historic district.  I'll take a free night to any HI hotel, I can't wait to go.

If the offer is for a free night any where why so little desire to stay in some of IHG's Best an Intercontinental. There are some great ones in North America for the travel wary.

Holiday Inn (Old City), Philadelphia.  Living only 25 miles from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, I'm sad to say we have not taken the time to visit since we started raising our 6 children a long time ago. I would take my wife there for an overnight visit to experience the history and resurgence of Philadelphia as a a place to eat, drink and shop.

Despite living in (and loving every minute of ) the Crowne Plaza Kuwait for 4-5 months of the year  I would choose my free night somewhere totally different, in fact the opposite. I would exchange the flat desert sands for mountains and lochs and use the HOLIDAY INN  EXPRESS INVERNESS SCOTLAND as a base for the Tartan Heart Festival at Belladrum. Bliss!

At the base of the Rocky Mountains in Ruidoso, New Mexico.  Holiday Inn Express.

Beautiful location with quarter horse racing, bike/horseback riding, good restaurants, and gaming casinos.

A wonderful place to visit, high up in the Land of Enchantment.

It would seem that most of the posters haven't read the T&C's, it clearly states that IC and HIX are excluded from the sweepstakes and that it is only open to US members exc FL. So us European members are left out.

Had I been able to enter I would choose CP Amsterdam.

I was reading through some of these threads before posting...it is amazing how many people want a free night in Illinois (must be from there as well). I would rather get the heck out of here and go North; either upper East Coast or upper West.

But my wife would like us to save up our free nights for her 50th birthday - we'd go to New York.  We stayed in Manhatten 6th Avenue last year and really enjoyed that.

Catch a Broadway Show (we saw A Chorus Line two years ago) and all the sightseeing and shopping...

For business, I often stay in the Crowne Plaza in Salzburg and the other half is desparate to worship at the "home of the Sound of Music". A few free nights in Salzburg would be a perfect birthday present. Personally I view the prospect of the Sound of Music Tour with horror, but I shall console myslef with a few beers, lazy evenings in the many restaurants and may be a hipflask for the tour itself (?).

Re: Where would you spend a free night?

Like many of you, I travel the world all too often, so the prospect of a "free night" in a hotel does not fill me with excitment.

So far in the last 12 months, I've been to San Diego, Las Vegas, New York, London, Barcelona, Paris, Cologne, Amsterdam, Stockholm, and Helsinki, to name just a few, so where would I chose?

I live in Lincoln, England, which is an old Roman city that's been there for over 2,000 years, with a beautiful large cathedral and an old Norman Castle, that holds on of the four orginial copies of the Magna Carta, which is the foundation of democracy.

Holiday Inn have just built a new, very stylist hotel, a short walk from the city centre and all the places of interest, but it's one that I would never stay in, although I will put up numerous business guests in there. So I would chose Lincoln, England.

Based only on places I've stayed, I would choose one of the three:

Port Aransas Texas for two nights!!  On the beach!! In Texas, that's the closest, nicest beach to Austin (where I'm from).  It's only 3 hrs away!

I think I'll spend another night in Vegas.  I like to stay at the big hotels there, but to save some money I can stay at a IHG hotel one night!  YAY!

Crowne Plaza, Istanbul, Turkey

I was disappointed when the original hotel changed ownership and ceased to be a Crowne Plaza, the staff were great and the views over Istanbul from the 22nd floor lounge were fantastic.  Now that the new Crowne Plaza has opened it would be great to give it a try.

Re: Where would you spend a free night?

Jenni,

Without a doubt I would choose a free night at the Holiday Inn located in Gatlinburg, TN. Every year we take a winter trip there since it is located within walking distance of all the main downtown attractions; to include Ober Gatlinburg and close access to the trail head for Mt. LeConte. The hotel does not allow pets so the free night could offset the cost of putting Orbit and Dakota (my two Siberians) in a kennel!

Where would I spend a free night?

Easy decision - Boston - Intercontinental Hotel on the Bay

Take the Downeastah' train from Portland with the kids.  The Intercontinental is the perfect spot to land for excursions out to the Aquarium to play with the fish, over to the Italian North End to score some yummy treats to bring home, and take the T over the river to the Science Museum where the Harry Potter exhibit just opened. It doesn't get much better than that!

I would definitely like to use a free night (or several free nights) at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, DC.  DC is my home town and the Willard is one of my favorite historical landmarks.  It is an absolutely amazing piece of architecture and fixture in history.  It has also been way out of my price range for a lark to spend the night there.  A free night at the Willard, for me, would be like a long-term dream come true.

I would like to spend a free night at the Amsterdam InterContinental Amstel. Numerous trips to Amsterdam included hotel stays at Hilton, Renaissance, Marriott, Le Meridien, Ramada, and Golden Tulip along with other independent hotels. The beautiful IC Amstel is a vision of grand times. We often sat on a bench beside the river on the opposite bank from the hotel gazing at the lovely IC Amstel.

A stay at the IC Amstel would be my choice for a free night so as to experience first hand the joy I have felt viewing the hotel from across the Amstel.
