I'd say Willard Intercontinental Washington, DC.
Would like to spend it at home.I stay so many nights in hotels, that I am very happy when I can stay at home.
Any Indigo - anywhere. My 1st choice, New york City new hotel Indigo, or any Holiday Inn in New York city.
2nd choice, Indigo San Antonio, or any HI in San Antonio. Also on the list, Indigo Atlanta, my dog would be in vacation heaven there.
Chicago is in my top 5 as is Washington DC and Philadelphia PA Holiday IN in the historic district. I'll take a free night to any HI hotel, I can't wait to go.
I noticed you were a winner; so where are you going to end up staying?
Amanda Kehoe
We will be celebrating our empty nest -- the baby leaves for college this year. We will be taking the trip we had wanted to do for years -- Frankenmuth, MI. Will be staying at the HIE in nearby Birch Run.

Redmond, Oregon!
Fronk
Fronk, who indicated that he wants to spend a night in Redmond, Oregon will be a bit disappointed. The closest IHG hotel is a HI Express in Bend, about 15 miles down the road.
HI Regina SK
Holiday Inn Vacation Club in Orange Lake Florida looks like fun. lots of IHG emails for this resort recently.
I want to visit in the Indigo in Columbus, IN. Have you seen the dog on their website? Too cute! I want to see him in person
Matt
If the offer is for a free night any where why so little desire to stay in some of IHG's Best an Intercontinental. There are some great ones in North America for the travel wary.
There's alot to see in Miami and a stay in the Intercontinental there would make a nice trip.
I would definitely stay somewhere I have never been. The IC in Cannes looks lovely...
Not only looks good, but is good
Probably be somewhere practical like HI Ellesmere Port/Cheshire Oaks; I would take our son to Chester Zoo/ Blue Planet Aquarium and my wife would go shopping!!!!

Holiday Inn (Old City), Philadelphia. Living only 25 miles from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, I'm sad to say we have not taken the time to visit since we started raising our 6 children a long time ago. I would take my wife there for an overnight visit to experience the history and resurgence of Philadelphia as a a place to eat, drink and shop.

It would seem that most of the posters haven't read the T&C's, it clearly states that IC and HIX are excluded from the sweepstakes and that it is only open to US members exc FL. So us European members are left out.
Had I been able to enter I would choose CP Amsterdam.
In Cardiff with my wife bringing in the New Year and celebrating life and having a good time. ![]()
Santa Barbara, CA
Definitely the upcomming Crown Plaza to be opened in October 2009 in Kaoshiung, Taiwan!!!!
I was reading through some of these threads before posting...it is amazing how many people want a free night in Illinois (must be from there as well). I would rather get the heck out of here and go North; either upper East Coast or upper West.

Anywhere that sun, palm trees, and seemingly endless beaches can be found.
Anywhere with warm sun and a beach. Ahhh to lay by the ocean and relax.
I'd like to try any place in either Washington DC or New York, if not there, then my next choice would be the great town of Seattle!
Did I win?? LOL
I would stay at the Intercontinental in San Diego so I could take my two daughters to the San Diego Zoo during their summer vacation from school, they both finished the school year with straight A's so they deserve it!
The new Holiday in in NYC on 26th. Going to a friends wedding. Looking forward to seeing this new hotel.
Intercontinental El Presidente in Cabo San Lucas during blue marlin season.
For business, I often stay in the Crowne Plaza in Salzburg and the other half is desparate to worship at the "home of the Sound of Music". A few free nights in Salzburg would be a perfect birthday present. Personally I view the prospect of the Sound of Music Tour with horror, but I shall console myslef with a few beers, lazy evenings in the many restaurants and may be a hipflask for the tour itself (?).
A
Like many of you, I travel the world all too often, so the prospect of a "free night" in a hotel does not fill me with excitment.
So far in the last 12 months, I've been to San Diego, Las Vegas, New York, London, Barcelona, Paris, Cologne, Amsterdam, Stockholm, and Helsinki, to name just a few, so where would I chose?
I live in Lincoln, England, which is an old Roman city that's been there for over 2,000 years, with a beautiful large cathedral and an old Norman Castle, that holds on of the four orginial copies of the Magna Carta, which is the foundation of democracy.
Holiday Inn have just built a new, very stylist hotel, a short walk from the city centre and all the places of interest, but it's one that I would never stay in, although I will put up numerous business guests in there. So I would chose Lincoln, England.
Anywhere - its FREE!!!!!!!!
Hotel Indigo, San Diego
I would stay somewhere like
The Hurghada Resort & Casino, Hurghada, Egypt
Cheers
John
I would like to spend it at the Intercon London Park Lane, It looks sooooo nice there. A romantic break from me an my hubby!![]()

Holiday Inn, Paris-Bastille, I like the atmosphere in this hotel and it is in the heart of my favorite city.
A quiet walk along the Seine and a meal at my favorite restaurant, Le Janou.
Thinking this at work on a wet day in Manchester. Help!
My wife has a "significant" birthday later in the year, as a gentleman I will not disclose the precise age !! Living in the UK, I would like to take her anywhere romantic in Europe for a special celebration.
Paul
Without doubt the Intercontinental on Bora Bora with my wife. Would just have to work out how to get the money to get there ![]()

Being nostalgic, it would be Prague. Spent a weekend there with my girlfriend but it poured it down the whole time so it would be good to go back, hope for better weather and see the sights.
Bath, England with my wife on a November weekend to do Christmas shopping and write cards, leaving the two children with friends
I would take my family to Ocean City, MD to the Holiday Inn and Suites, it is the nicest, nost family oriented place on the beach front there.

For a free night, Toronto, Ontario. For the grand prize, Austria, or maybe Holiday Inn District Historico in Queretaro, Mexico.
Dan

At the Holiday Inn Charleston-Mills House so we could continue our search for the perfect mojito! A great city to walk around & see all the sights!
Folly Beach, SC
The Holiday Inn in Nairobi, Kenya. My wife and I will be going on a photo safari in September and we have a layover in Nairobi prior to the trip which starts at Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.
Based only on places I've stayed, I would choose one of the three:
Presidente InterContinental in Cozumel
Barclay in NYC
Crowne Plaza Seattle
either Intercontinental in San Francisco. I've been wanting to see the new Science Museum there.
I'd like to book a room at Cinderella's Castle in Disney! Or in Times Square, NYC
At a Holiday Inn or Express in Atlanta for a quick weekend getaway
Crowne Plaza Times Square, New York
InterContinental Chicago, Chicago, IL
Intercontinental, Cleveland Clinic... We spend so much taking my daughter there it would be great to have a free night at that nice hotel.

It would be tough to be in all those places for one night, but if you twist my arm I'd pick one!
Brighton, Drakes hotel- bliss!
The Strings by InterContinental, Tokyo, Japan
Port Aransas Texas for two nights!! On the beach!! In Texas, that's the closest, nicest beach to Austin (where I'm from). It's only 3 hrs away!
I think I'll spend another night in Vegas. I like to stay at the big hotels there, but to save some money I can stay at a IHG hotel one night! YAY!
Crowne Plaza, Istanbul, Turkey
I was disappointed when the original hotel changed ownership and ceased to be a Crowne Plaza, the staff were great and the views over Istanbul from the 22nd floor lounge were fantastic. Now that the new Crowne Plaza has opened it would be great to give it a try.
Crowne Plaza, Beijing Sun Palace, China!
Excellent hotel with great food and service!
With my family @ the New Holiday Inn Vacation Club at Orange Lake in Orlando Florida. This is to be the first of its kind and one of a kind.
Sault Ste Marie, Mi
I would spend it in Nashville, TN. It is a wonderful city with lots to see and do as well as hospitable, warm people.
Fishermans Wharf, San Francisco
Philadelphia, PA in your most expensive hotel.
Holiday Inn Dallas Texas
I would use it to add a night (or two) in NYC to a visit to the US later this year. My wife has never been to Manhattan and it would be a great surprise if we had a small detour on the way home ![]()
Crowne Plaza, London
The Intercontinental hotel Hong Kong
Holiday Inn Express -Rome (actually just where I have spent my free nights - complete with complimentry breakfast !! Great
Crowne Plaza, Lima, Peru - prior to trekking up to Machu Picchu
There are lot's of places to spend a free night. The Mark Hopkins Intercontinental in San Francisco or the Crowne Plaza in Key West would be fun. Two totally different experiences - but both are great.

IC in Houston downtown.
Intercontinental in Chicago
Munich, to experience Oktober Fest
Any Intercontinental
I'd like to stay in intercontinental HONGKONG
The Holiday Inn Harrogate, UK, to visit Betty's Tea Rooms!
I would stay at the Holiday Inn on 57th street in New York City
Jenni,
Without a doubt I would choose a free night at the Holiday Inn located in Gatlinburg, TN. Every year we take a winter trip there since it is located within walking distance of all the main downtown attractions; to include Ober Gatlinburg and close access to the trail head for Mt. LeConte. The hotel does not allow pets so the free night could offset the cost of putting Orbit and Dakota (my two Siberians) in a kennel!
Treetop
![]()
Somewhere in London
Somewhere in Germany or Switzerland. Intercontinental Geneva or somewhere in the South of Germany.
Hope to win to get one of those free nights.
Where would I spend a free night?
Easy decision - Boston - Intercontinental Hotel on the Bay
Take the Downeastah' train from Portland with the kids. The Intercontinental is the perfect spot to land for excursions out to the Aquarium to play with the fish, over to the Italian North End to score some yummy treats to bring home, and take the T over the river to the Science Museum where the Harry Potter exhibit just opened. It doesn't get much better than that!
If I had a chance to win a free night I would spend it on relaxing on the beach at the Holiday Inn Ocean City Md located at 6600 Coastal Highway.
Portland, Oregon Crowne Plaza
CROWNE PLAZA,CHANGI AIRPORT,SINGAPORE
Crowne Plaza Metro- Chicago.
Just the wife and I for a nice dinner in Greektown and then a stumble back to the hotel for a night of uninterupted sleep. Who would have ever thought it would come to this?
Proud parents of:
3 yr old
19 month old
twin girls born June 1
I would just need to find a babysitter crazy enough to spend the night!
InterContinental London Park Lane - a top hotel in a top city (and there's so many free things to do there - like the National Gallery, Changing of the Guard, all the major museums, Green Park.....)
Intercontinental Cleveland Oh
Crowne Plaza South Beach, FL - bring it on - I need the sun!
I would pack and take my wife to Key West to the La Concha Crown Plaza. This is where I need to retire and be with people who believe in what I do -- Oh and maybe have a drink (or two)!
It would be awesome to stay at InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa for my free night.
I would spend a night at the los cabos grand faro in Mexico. We stayed there and it was amazing and all inclusive!
CROWNE PLAZA,CHANGI AIRPORT,SINGAPORE...
Intercontinental Puerto Vallarta (we stayed there on our 20th anniversary and found the rooms, staff, and dining extraordinarily good). Great location!
I would definitely like to use a free night (or several free nights) at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, DC. DC is my home town and the Willard is one of my favorite historical landmarks. It is an absolutely amazing piece of architecture and fixture in history. It has also been way out of my price range for a lark to spend the night there. A free night at the Willard, for me, would be like a long-term dream come true.
Back to La Conch Crowne Plaza, Dewy Street Key West.
Intercontinental Hong Kong! Have you see the pool that overlooks the harbor???
I'd love to take my wife back to the Hotel Indigo in Boston (Newton Riverside). We visited last year from the UK to see our son who is living and working in nearby Waltham and stayed for 4 nights at this hotel. The hotel was amazing and spending time with our son was priceless ![]()
IC Willard, Washington, DC...without a doubt.
My wife and I really need a break from a very busy year, and could do with a break anywhere within a day's drive from Cardiff, Wales. If I could pay to add a spa break for my much deserving wife that would really help me say "thank you".
Steve
Candlewood Suites, Jersey City, NJ on my next trip to the US.
I would like to spend a free night at the Amsterdam InterContinental Amstel. Numerous trips to Amsterdam included hotel stays at Hilton, Renaissance, Marriott, Le Meridien, Ramada, and Golden Tulip along with other independent hotels. The beautiful IC Amstel is a vision of grand times. We often sat on a bench beside the river on the opposite bank from the hotel gazing at the lovely IC Amstel.
A stay at the IC Amstel would be my choice for a free night so as to experience first hand the joy I have felt viewing the hotel from across the Amstel.
ANA Hotel Osaka, Japan.
Hangzhou Intercontinental, China
Hangzhou is one of the most beautiful cities in China. I would take my mom to enjoy this nice place.
San Francisco Intercontinental
Paris Intercontinental
Intercontinental ,park lane London is always a favourite of mine for location and class of hotel.
If I were to get a free night I would choose the Intercontinental Park Lane - as this is where I proposed to my wife. This would be a special night to spend out anniversary.
