What a disappointment, grand opening promotion from an international company and at the end of the video (only available to US residents) 1 min 15 secs of my life wasted. IHG really know how to annoy their international customer base. If you want to have a preferential offer of a select group only show it to that group you know where I live, you have my location from my IP address, manage the content properly. When will you be having a promotion for Non US residents only (+FL and DC) who were also excluded.

Come on on IHG you can do better.

Given that IHG is a global company, it would have been nice to have the contest available worldwide. One rarely sees worldwide contests though. Imagine trying to make a contest that meets all the rules of every country (Germany, for instance, requires the inclusion of some sort of "knowledge question" in order to get around their rule banning games of chance)! What they could do, though, is have regional contests for other countries as well.

They also should have specified at the very beginning of the advertising that this is for US residents only.

And not to quibble, but residents of Washington, DC are eligible for the promo, as specified in the terms. The end parenthesis after Florida is crucial!
