I love it when tourist information is provided when I am visiting new places! I almost always look at everything, and then take just what I need. It is easier to only take what is needed, if the hotel provides the information in a viewable or summary form first.

Of course I only take what I need., and return what I might have used Why oh why, would I take stuff to carry in purse or luggage, if I no longer need it.?

For me the surveys have really diminished. I don't think it has anything to do with how satisfactory my stay was, although I wonder if IHG is sending less out now?? I used to receive them a lot more than I have after recent stays.

Although I get very good service when I visit the hotels, I seem to only get surveys from the ones that have great service. On the bright side I have never really had any problems with the hotels I have stayed at , no complaints here

I know it is not the US but I wonder how much you tip the bed warmer in the UK . Thought: bed warmer gets out of bed, you say thank you,, then.... "awkward silence"

Hi Jimmy,

that's good advice re taking the tube from Heathrow. and I have taken it from the Hyde Park Station to Heathrow, but coming into London after a 7 hour plane ride, I hate the tube.

Sometimes I take the Airport Express van which is getting more costly everytime I use it. . They are at many airports globally and I use them often in the US...

When coming into JFK, the taxi rate is a flat $45 plus tolls and tip, to anywhere in Manhattan. If you are going midtown or below midtown, unless it is the height of rush hour, tell the cab driver to take the 59ths St Bridge (aka the Queensborough bridge) instead of the Triboro or Midtown tunnel and you will save about $5..
